If you use a drone like the Cheerson Cx-20 or DJI Phantom with a Gopro, you’ll probably notice that videos are shaky and unstable. That’s why someone invented gimbals.
With a gimbal mounted on your drones to keep your camera, your videos will be stable, without vibrations and rapid movements.
There are 1-axis gimbals, 2-axis and 3-axis. The best and more expensive one are the 3-axis, they stabilize the cam in every direction.
With the guidance of algorithms, the stabilizer is able to notice the difference between deliberate movement such as pans and tracking shots from unwanted shake. This allows the camera to seem as if it is floating through the air, an effect achieved by a Steadicam in the past. Not limited to handheld shooting, gimbals can be mounted to cars and other vehicles such as drones, where vibrations or other unexpected movements would make tripods or other camera mounts unacceptable.

Gimbal initialization method:
The gimbal is placed, remain stationary, then turn on the power, wait gimal operation, after operating, you can pick up the gimbal to work.
When connect to RC receiver it can switch in 3 working modes, also can control the heading and pitch via the RC receiver.
Heading Follow Mode:
Camera Pitch and Roll angles remain constant, heading follows
the nose position, pitch can be control by RC
Heading And Pitch Follow Mode:
Camera Roll angle remains constant. Heading follow
the nose position and Pitch follow the elevation of the aircraft.
Heading Lock Mode:
Heading, Pitch and Roll are all locked to point at one position.
Heading and pitch can be control by RC.
The gimbal needs to be initialized when the following situations occur:
-After starting, there is a small angle deviation between pitch angle and the horizontal.
-There is a small angle deviation between roll angle and the horizontal.
-Keeping heading stationary, heading angle has frequent small angle correction.
