  1. I how do we turn on the night vision mode for the gt300 dvr ? I read the manual but no clear answers. Its suppose to be a 3.options for the night mode but i cant even find them. Pressed every button

    1. Press the power button quickly. You will see a “light bulb” icon appear on the LCD screen to indicate night setting. Press quickly again to toggle back to daytime. Don’t hold it in or the power will shut off.

      1. That’s not really a night vision mode as it turns on a little light. It appears to have controls on the camera a mode for exposure and implies it has the same for viseo but there is no apparent way to change that in the menu like the camera???

    2. We ordered two of these and got them a couple of days ago. Despite charging them overnight with 1A chargers, they both only operate between 10 and 15 minutes on battery. I’d read warnings about this in some online reviews but not here. We can live with the almost non-existent battery life as we plug them into the car, plus didn’t expect a whole lot from a camera under 20 bucks. Still very good for the price.

      1. The LCD display consumes the small internal battery rapidly, hence, only a few minutes backup power capacity. Unit must be connected to vehicle’s continuous battery power to be continuously functional. (This means a direct power line from the battery with an inline protection fuse, not a cigarette lighter that is switched off when the ignition is turned off). Consider the battery this way, if you are involved in an accident and power to your unit is interrupted, it could capture a minute or two during the accident event for documentation before depleting the battery.

    1. I haven’t found one but the hard copy sheet I have is in horrible Chinglish and not very useful in terms of what the settings are for (only how to activate/change them). Just search Youtube and you’ll find several reviews in which they demonstrate a lot of the features.

  2. only works if plugged into cig lighter. can’t change location from china or tiwan to usa. if this unit was to charge how come you can’t charge from my p.c.

  3. Got mine for Xmas (2016). Not the same as picture on box. No power button (1) or menu button (3) as shown in manual or any videos I have seen .

  4. I am trying to set the current date on to the camera.
After I am done. It reverts to whatever I had.
How can I commit it permanently?
