Hubsan H501S X4 Features
Let’s see all the features that this quadcopter drone offers.
5.8G FPV Real-time Video Transmission:
The H501S Transmitter comes with the integrated 5.8 Ghz FPV system for the real time image transmission, the stock FPV transmission distance is about 300 meters but there are good tweaks which make H501S transmit over 1200 meters. The FPV screen displays all the information during the flight, the battery status, the mode in which you are flying (GPS altitude hold. Return to Home, GPS parameters), transmitter battery status are few of them.
1080P HD Camera:
The built in HD camera is integrated in the shell and can capture stunning pictures and videos.
Follow Me Mode:
The built-in GPS enables the H501S flying itself to capture your adventure wherever you are. Once enabled the quadcopter will follow you (the transmitter) using the built-in GPS System present in both the transmitter and the quadcopter. The follow me mode will only work when the transmitter and the quadcopter GPS systems sync with 6 satellites or above.
Headless Mode:
When enters into headless mode, the controls will be set to one direction based on the quadcopter’s current path. It means that if the head is pointing north when you enable this function, it will continue going north when you press the Forward RC lever, even if the head is pointing South or East.
One Key to Return:
The fight control system will automatically control the quadcopter to turn to home and land. The Built-in GPS enables the quadcopter to enter into the failsafe mode when the connection from the remote controller is lost. In fail-safe mode, the flight control system of H501S will automatically control the quadcopter to return back to home and land safely. In addition the return to home function can also be triggered manually with a tap of a switch on the controller, this is extremely useful when you fly faraway and can’t control the drone.
6 Axis Gyro:
Strong stability, stronger wind resistance, easier to control.
Brushless Motors:
Husband H501S mounts brushless motors, that are more powerful and more durable. A brushless electric motor is an electric motor driven by an electrical input, which lacks any form of commutator or slip ring. The motor requires some form of alternating current to turn, either from an AC supply, or an electronic circuit. A brushless DC electric motor contains a synchronous motor and integrated power electronics that operate the motor from a direct current supply. (wikipedia)
Longer Flight Time:
The intelligent battery with large capacity extends the flying time last to 20 minutes. It uses a 7.4V 2700mAh 10C li-po battery, and the trasmitter 4 x 1.5V AA battery.
Battery: 7.4V 2700mAh 10C
Flying Time: 18-20mins
Charging Time (h): About 2 – 3 hours
Multi functions FPV remote Controller FPV 2
The RC controller has a built-in 4.3″ LCD screen and a 5.8G real-time trasmission system. So you can see directly on the RC what you are recording or shooting. It also has a built-in GPS module that allows the drone to follow you precisely in Follow Mode.

I can’t seem to get an answer to this question from any sites that I have asked so far, maybe you could help me.WHAT IS THE SD SLOT ON THE TRANSMITTER FOR.DOES IT RECORD THERE OR IS IT JUST FOR REVIEWING WHAT WAS RECORDED ON THE QUAD ITSELF???
You can plug in a Mini sd Card, so you can save your pics and vids on it while you are recording
So it’s doing the same as the slot in the drone as a backup? It might have some transmission errors, but is still there when the drone gets lost.
I mean, I thought the drone itself has a slot, but maybe I confuse this with a different one.
Can I record pics and video directly to my iPhone? If so, what steps are necessary to do this?
you should really get the H501s air its controlled by phone app, infact it came out today
hey, I think this websites incorrect because the entire point of the Advanced version vs the standard one is that it has a better controller that doesnt only go 300m but 2000m its averstited 1,400m but people have gone much farther
Can somebody tell me if this is a good drone? I want to buy a drone and have three options, the Hubsan H501S X4, Parrot Bebop and Syma X8HG. I’m looking for a good camera and I am a beginner.
buy the hubsan its the best in the market
Just got 501S #2, first one just went dead on me! Im pretty experienced having several drones but have had zero luck with this Hubsan drone. The new one right out of the box wont give me fpv more than 15 feet. It has perfect flying aspects, dead on GPS, holds steady but now something else again!
Anybody tell me how to adjust frequency if that’s possible. I actually mean channel frequency I guess. I know this drone, you take it, turn on the controller and the bird. Callibrate as asked, first #1, then 2, wait until you have above 6 satelites before you fire up motors. Then fire up and take off. Again, no fpv above 15 feet.
Anybody have an answer on this one?
