Xiaomi just released the Redmi 3S and after 24 hours also this 3X version. The specs on the two versions are virtually identical. Both offer a 5-inch, 720p display, octa-core Snapdragon 430 SoC and 2GB of RAM, plus 32GB of expandable storage. This, along with the 4100mAh battery is all packed inside a full metal magnesium alloy unibody, measuring 139.3 x 69.6 x 8.5mm and weighing in at 144 grams. 1.4GHz Snapdragon 430 with Adreno 505 GPU scored better than 1.5Ghz Snapdragon 616 with Adreno 405 in Antutu and other benchmarks. So Redmi3S with Snapdragon 430 is definitely not a downgrade to Redmi3 with Snapdragon 616.
