CPU & RAM
Redmi Note 4 is equipped with MediaTek Helio X20 deca core 64bit 2.1GHz processor – a high-end processor in a budget smartphone. It features Mali T880 MP4 700MHz GPU as graphic processor.
Helio X20 relies on TSMC 20nm HKMG process technology. It’s a three cluster architecture including 2 * A72 (2.1GHz), 4 * A53 (2.0GHz), 4 * A53 (1.4GHz). When combined, it makes a total of 10 core united by MediaTek customize MCSI interconnected bus connect. It is further co-occurred with Mali T880mp4 running at 700MHz as the GPU.
Redmi Note 4 performs well on daily usage. Multi-tabbed browsing, interface navigation, and even playing graphic-intensive games is a breeze. The processor offers good enough grunt for most apps and games. It features 3GB RAM and 64GB ROM, enough space for many applications, photos and videos, and RAM for multitasking.

Display
Redmi Note 4 features a 5.5-inch capacitive screen, 2.5D arc screen, FHD (1920×1080 pixels) screen display, IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors, good for a density of 401 ppi. It’s vivid with great viewing angles and the colors and contrast are perfect. For a budget device, the display on the Note 4 stands out as one of the highlights.
Here the Redmi Note series breaks a trend, a tradition of 720p phones with the introduction of the 1080p display under a budget friendly flagship.
Outdoors in sunlight, the display is a tad dim, and I preferred to keep it at maximum (or high) brightness than what was set automatically. Still it’s crisp and consistent from different viewing angles.
The 2.5D arc glass accentuates the display and makes Redmi Note 4 more appealing and elegant.
Camera
The main camera has a 13.0MP sensor with PDAF focus, f2.0 aperture and LED flash. The front camera has 5.0MP.
Features: Geo-tagging, touch focus, face/smile detection, HDR, panorama
It can record 1080p@30fps, 720p@120fps videos.
Design
The Redmi Note 4 carries on Xiaomi’s design ethos. Apart from rare aberration, most devices in the Xiaomi portfolio look alike, and the Note 4 looks just like the Redmi Pro. That’s not a bad thing, really. Xiaomi makes good looking budget smartphones and the Note 4 is no different.
The curves on the edges at the back aid the grip, and makes it a nice phone to hold in the hand.
Even thought Redmi Pro inherits the same metal chassis but the most vivid difference between both flagship is that Pro utilizes the brushed metal procedure, creating some streaks on the back along the smoothness. Meanwhile, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 uses the nanoscale ceramic blasting process, feel very delicate as the shine glitters in the eyes and even the surface is moderately rugged.
Fingerprint scanner
The fingerprint sensor works great, and unlocks the phone in a quick snap each time. There’s also an IR port on the phone so that you can use it as a universal remote controller. Also, the Note 4 packs in the latest version of Bluetooth v4.2.
External memory
Dual SIM Card Dual Standby( 1 Nano SIM Card and 1 Micro SIM Card,or 1 Mirco and 1 microSD Card. Both SIM slots are compatible with 4G, respectively. When they work at the same time, only one of them can receive LTE service and the other 3G and GSM )
Battery
Redmi 4 is equipped with a 4100 mAh battery with fast charge. One of the highlights of the Redmi Note 4 is its superb battery life. Of course, it packs in a big battery at 4100mAh, but there’s also enough power optimizations under the hood that makes it last long – really long. While there’s no USB Type-C, the Note 4 does include MediaTek PumpExpress 2.0 technology for fast charging. On moderate usage, you could stretch the battery life up to about two working days.
MIUI user interface
Redmi Note 4 comes with MIUI 7.3 based on Android 6, but you can immediatly update to MIUI 8. While customized Android skins are a matter of personal preference, MIUI has been able to garner a large fan base. And credit where it’s due, it’s not misplaced. Xiaomi works hard on MIUI bringing features, UX tweaks, and nifty utilities to augment the Android experience.
One of the highlights of the MIUI 8 is Second Space that allows a user two configure two profiles on a device – like virtual desktops so to say. It allows you to keep separate apps or separate layouts for distinct personal and work needs.
